The debut event for Tesla's next-generation Roadster supercar has been postponed to August 2024 or later. The model was first unveiled as a prototype in 2017, with an initial target for mass production set for 2020, but has since faced multiple delays. The originally scheduled unveiling on April 1, 2026, did not materialize; the date was subsequently moved to late May or late June, and has now been pushed back again. The debut was initially planned to take place in Texas, showcasing the "A71" cold-gas thruster system co-developed by Tesla and SpaceX. This system is designed to enhance the vehicle’s steering, braking, and motor acceleration performance, and even enable brief moments of lift-off from the ground.
