On the evening of June 6, Harmony Intelligent Mobility issued a reminder regarding vehicle usage during the upcoming national college entrance examination (Gaokao), noting that signal-jamming devices will be activated around test centers from June 7 to 10. Vehicles passing through or parked in these areas may experience disruptions to multiple smart features. Affected functions include advanced driver assistance systems—such as Navigation-guided Cruise Assist (NCA), Lane Centering Control (LCC), and Automated Parking Assist (APA/RPA)—which may exhibit delayed responses; real-time navigation, with potential delays in traffic updates and location accuracy; remote vehicle controls, such as pre-starting the air conditioning or unlocking doors, which may be blocked; and in-car entertainment systems, which could suffer music playback interruptions and delayed voice interactions. Additionally, ahead of this year’s Gaokao, several AI platforms have temporarily restricted exam-related features—such as answering questions or photo-based problem solving—while non-exam-related functions like casual chatting and general life-related queries remain unaffected. Some homework tutoring tools for primary and secondary school students have similarly limited their Q&A features. Under China’s "Regulations on the Management of Deep Synthesis in Internet Information Services," the use of deep synthesis technology for activities that endanger public interests is prohibited. In April, China’s Ministry of Education, Cyberspace Administration, Ministry of Public Security, and other relevant departments held a joint meeting, stressing the need to uphold higher standards in organizing the Gaokao and to prevent and crack down on high-tech cheating.
