In June 2024, 100 BYD T75 electric light-duty trucks arrived at the Port of Lázaro Cárdenas in Michoacán, Mexico. With a rated payload capacity of 4,550 kg and a combined range exceeding 200 km, this model is well-suited for medium- and short-haul freight applications. Equipped with multiple intelligent electronic driver-assistance systems, the vehicles will be deployed in urban logistics, last-mile delivery, and trunk-line cargo transportation. BYD plans to gradually introduce additional new energy commercial vehicles to the Mexican market, including the V9 electric van and T35 electric light-duty truck. The T75 corresponds to the BYD T5 sold in the Chinese market, featuring a single-row cabin accommodating up to three occupants. The refrigerated variant measures 5,995 mm (length) × 2,260 mm (width) × 3,250 mm (height), with a wheelbase of 3,360 mm; the non-refrigerated version is 100 mm narrower and 100 mm lower, with all other specifications identical. The vehicle has a curb weight of 3,310 kg and a gross vehicle weight of 4,495 kg, fitted with 16-inch wheels and drum brakes on both front and rear axles. It is powered by an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 150 kW, paired with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs ranging from 82 to 151 kWh, offering a CLTC-rated range starting from 415 km.
