The BMW M Neue Klasse Concept made its global debut on June 12, built on BMW’s next-generation Neue Klasse architecture and marking the first showcase of BMW M’s design language for the electric era. Embodying the philosophy “Born on the track, but more than just a track car,” the concept blends motorsport heritage with pure-electric technology. Exterior-wise, the iconic kidney grille is seamlessly integrated with the headlights, giving the front fascia a shark-like appearance. It debuts M-specific yellow lighting elements and three-dimensional Track Lights, which will become signature features on future M models. The front bumper draws inspiration from the trimaran hulls of high-speed sailing boats, while a V-shaped vent on the hood aids in cooling the electric drivetrain. At the rear, a ducktail spoiler and a floating diffuser enhance downforce and stability during high-speed cornering. Inside, an entirely new design language is introduced: the floating instrument panel is wrapped in black knitted fabric and accented with M-exclusive hexagonal backlighting. Performance cues are reinforced through an M gear selector, steering wheel shift paddles, and red accents on digital displays. The cabin features four monocoque bucket seats made from natural fibers, paired as standard with five-point harnesses and a factory-fitted roll cage—enabling immediate track use without any modifications. Power comes from four electric motors, delivering an estimated peak output of 1,000 horsepower. All systems are centrally managed by a computing unit dubbed the “Heart of Joy,” which independently controls drive and braking at each wheel while enabling aggressive regenerative braking and optimized traction for direct, responsive handling. The vehicle utilizes BMW’s sixth-generation cylindrical battery cells in a 100 kWh pack, supporting an 800V high-voltage architecture that enables sustained high-power output and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
