On June 13, BMW unveiled the all-electric M3 Concept at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The model is slated for mass production and market launch in 2027. Finished in a striking new Monza Red paint, the concept features bold headlight designs, wheels, and a rear spoiler, marking the most significant evolution of the M3 series since the F80 generation. Built on BMW’s Neue Klasse platform—the same architecture underpinning the i3—the electric M3 has been comprehensively upgraded in both body components and powertrain systems. Exterior highlights include the return of the iconic kidney grille, now seamlessly integrated with the headlights. The front fascia adds GT race-inspired yellow auxiliary lights, while a V-shaped opening on the hood serves both aesthetic and functional roles by aiding powertrain cooling. Both the front splitter and rear diffuser are crafted from fiber-reinforced composite materials. Inside, the cabin adheres to a “driver-first” philosophy. A floating instrument panel wrapped in black knitted fabric places the instrument cluster directly ahead of the driver, avoiding total reliance on the central touchscreen. The interior features four bucket seats upholstered in a combination of Bathurst Blue and Berry Red leather.
