On June 15, Xiaomi Auto held a face-to-face owner meetup for the YU7 in Wuhan. One attendee, a long-time driver of high-performance Audi gasoline vehicles, shared how his perspective had shifted: initially skeptical that electric vehicles could replicate the driving feel of internal combustion engine cars, he changed his mind after test-driving the Xiaomi YU7. He noted that in daily driving, the YU7 feels very similar to traditional performance gasoline cars, with even quicker power response and an excellent overall driving experience. He specifically highlighted the YU7’s pedal design, which incorporates damping at the front end, ensuring smoothness even in Sport mode. Xiaomi revealed that significant R&D effort went into tuning the pedal feel—and this owner was the first user to proactively notice this detail. He now owns two Xiaomi vehicles: a YU7 Max and an SU7 Ultra.
