The Aito M9 has been officially launched, featuring an industry-first stereo matrix of six LiDAR sensors. These six LiDAR units are strategically positioned on the roof, inside the cabin, at the lower front, on both side flanks, and at the rear of the vehicle. Specifically, the roof-mounted primary LiDAR offers 896 lines of resolution and employs a dual-optical-path architecture to enhance imaging clarity in overlapping regions. The forward-facing, low-mounted solid-state LiDAR eliminates blind spots near the front bumper. The cabin-integrated LiDAR provides redundant backup for the roof-mounted unit, while the left and right side-mounted solid-state LiDARs address visibility blind spots caused by obstructions such as roadside vegetation. The vehicle’s perception system is deeply integrated with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5.0 intelligent driving solution. Its forward collision avoidance operates across speeds from 4 to 150 km/h, and side collision avoidance functions between 30 and 130 km/h. It can accurately detect small, low-profile, suspended, and irregularly shaped obstacles within a 10-meter range. In total, the car is equipped with 40 sensors—including six LiDARs, five 4D millimeter-wave radars, eleven high-definition cameras, and ultrasonic sensors—delivering 360-degree, blind-spot-free perception. Additionally, each LiDAR features four spray nozzles enabling automatic cleaning to ensure reliable operation in adverse weather conditions.
