BYD Releases Latest Infrastructure Data: As of June 17, 2026, the company has built a total of 6,682 Flash Charging Stations across 321 cities nationwide. In March 2026, BYD launched its second-generation Blade Battery and Flash Charging technology, introducing a single-gun charger with a peak power output of 1,500 kW—the highest-power single-gun charger currently in mass production globally. Vehicles equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery can charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes and reach 97% in nine minutes. Even in extreme cold conditions of -30°C, charging from 20% to 97% takes approximately 12 minutes—only three minutes longer than under normal temperatures. Concurrently, BYD is advancing its "Flash Charge China Strategy," aiming to deploy a total of 20,000 Flash Charging Stations by the end of 2026, including 18,000 urban stations and 2,000 highway stations. These stations feature the world’s first suspended cable-and-gun design, with a lightweight gun cable weighing only about 2 kg, enabling one-handed operation, left-right sliding to accommodate different vehicle charging ports, and supporting plug-and-charge functionality with automatic payment. The second-generation Blade Battery has passed rigorous safety tests, remaining non-flammable after 500 flash-charging cycles even when punctured, and resisting explosions under impact forces ten times greater than national standards. BYD offers a lifetime warranty on its battery cells. The company’s deployment model requires no grid capacity upgrades or foundation excavation, allowing for quick and easy installation—a partnership approach that has already gained market recognition. Previously released data showed that as of May 17, 2026, BYD had built 5,979 Flash Charging Stations covering 312 cities.
