On June 18, 2024, BMW officially launched the all-new fully electric SAV, the new BMW iX3, in the Korean market. This model marks BMW’s first production vehicle built on its next-generation EV platform, “Neue Klasse,” featuring the sixth-generation eDrive electric drive system and an 800V high-voltage architecture that supports ultra-fast charging at rates of up to 350–400 kW. In terms of charging performance, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 21 minutes, and a 10-minute charge adds around 250 kilometers of range. According to Korean certification standards, the vehicle delivers a maximum range of 611 kilometers on a single charge, with a combined energy consumption of 4.8–4.9 km/kWh. The version introduced in Korea is the single-motor iX350 xDrive, offered in three trim levels, with a starting price of KRW 79.9 million (approximately RMB 352,000) and a top-trim price of KRW 91.9 million (approximately RMB 404,000). The model produces a maximum output of 469 horsepower and peak torque of 65.8 kg·m, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. In terms of intelligent features, the new iX3 debuts BMW’s newly developed BMW Panoramic iDrive system, which includes BMW Panoramic Vision and the brand’s first-ever 3D head-up display. The vehicle is also equipped with a supercomputer named “Heart of Joy” and four specialized “Superbrains” handling functions such as driver assistance and infotainment, significantly enhancing overall responsiveness and driving dynamics.
