On June 22, NIO delivered its 120,000th ES8 in Shanghai, reaching this milestone in just 275 days. In May, the NIO ES8 achieved retail sales of 11,472 units, securing the top spot for the sixth consecutive month in both the large SUV segment and the premium vehicle market priced around RMB 400,000. According to China Automotive Terminal data, the all-electric three-row large SUV maintained its position as the best-selling model across all powertrain types in May, outperforming range-extended models for nine consecutive months since September last year. The all-new NIO ES8 was launched on September 20, 2025, with a price range of RMB 406,800 to RMB 446,800. Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, prices start from RMB 298,800 to RMB 338,800. The vehicle is available in six exterior colors: Deep Night Black, Cloud White, Polaris Blue, Dawn Gold, Starlight Green, and Stellar Gray. With an overall length of 5,280 mm and a wheelbase of 3,130 mm, it ranks among the largest all-electric SUVs in the Chinese market. Inside, the new ES8 features a Skyline panoramic display, a floating central touchscreen, and an upgraded NOMI AI assistant. The steering wheel adopts a three-spoke design, and the central screen has been reconfigured from a vertical to a horizontal layout. The cabin includes a total of 111 physical buttons. Powered by NIO’s full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, the ES8 is equipped with dual motors delivering a peak output of 520 kW and peak torque of 700 N·m, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 3.97 seconds. It achieves a braking distance of 34.9 meters from 100 km/h to a complete stop. The vehicle comes standard with a 102 kWh 4C battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of 635 km and an energy consumption of 16.6 kWh per 100 km.
