On August 10, artificial intelligence company 01.ai announced it will gradually discontinue user-facing services on its large model open platform, including online model experiences, API calls, and top-up functionalities. Effective immediately, the platform has halted new user registrations and top-up services but will continue to support account logins, billing inquiries, and usage detail queries. Starting at 24:00 on September 3, 2026, the platform will fully cease model experiences, API calls, and related services. The refund application window will remain open until 24:00 on December 3, 2026, during which users with account balances can follow provided instructions to request refunds. 01.ai stated that this move is part of its broader product and service system upgrade and reflects its strategic shift toward focusing more intensively on enterprise-grade AI solutions. Founded by Kai-Fu Lee in Beijing in May 2023, the company specializes in developing large AI models and enterprise-level AI agents (AI Agents).
