Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna announced at the company’s dealer conference in Las Vegas, USA, in June that Ferrari will officially unveil a new model on July 4. The date coincides with U.S. Independence Day and falls close to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone and the subsequent Goodwood Festival of Speed—events historically serving as prominent global launch platforms for new vehicles. Vigna stated that the new car will blend Ferrari’s heritage with its forward-looking technological direction, reflecting the brand’s long-standing commitment to innovation. He emphasized that Ferrari will continue offering models powered by internal combustion engines, hybrids, and fully electric drivetrains, leaving the final choice to customers. He noted that the company will keep producing internal combustion and hybrid powertrains while simultaneously advancing the development and production of electric vehicles. Regarding the identity of the upcoming model, speculation suggests it could be linked to Ferrari’s recently registered “12Cilindri GTO” trademark—a name that continues the brand’s historic use of the “GTO” designation, previously applied to iconic models such as the 250 GTO, 288 GTO, and 599 GTO. However, Ferrari has not yet confirmed specific details about the new vehicle, so it remains unclear whether this launch will feature the brand’s first all-electric model, Luce, a derivative of an existing classic model, or an entirely new product.
