On November 6, during the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE), Panasonic unveiled its new China regional strategy. Masaharu Nakayama, Executive Officer of Panasonic Holdings and Group Chief Executive for China & Northeast Asia, announced that Panasonic will focus on three business domains—AI infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and healthy intelligent living spaces—aligning with the Group's global growth strategy toward 2032. In the field of electronics manufacturing, the NPM-GW series high-speed placement machine showcased at this year's CIIE can support PCB boards up to 1,500 mm in length and 10 kg in weight, making it suitable for the production of large AI server boards and automotive power boards. In the field of automotive manufacturing, Panasonic is advancing the application of intelligent welding robots in industries such as new energy vehicles and large-scale equipment. In terms of production capacity layout, Panasonic's Phase II plant of Suzhou Production Technology, built with an investment of 240 million yuan, was completed in 2025, doubling its production capacity compared to before. Panasonic Tangshan is expected to achieve sales revenue of 2 billion yuan in fiscal year 2026. In its AI infrastructure business, Panasonic plans to double the global production capacity of MEGTRON high-performance multilayer substrate materials by 2030, having invested a total of approximately 2.2 billion yuan in its two major bases in Guangzhou and Suzhou. Among these, Phase I of the new Suzhou electronic materials plant is scheduled for mass production in December 2026, and Phase II is expected to commence production in August 2028. These materials are mainly used in fields such as AI servers and high-speed communication equipment. In addition, Panasonic will also develop its healthy intelligent living space business and promote China-developed products in the global market.
