Henan Provincial Government Office Issues Notice to Launch New Energy Vehicle Rural Promotion Campaign

On November 5, the General Office of the Henan Provincial People's Government recently issued the "Notice on Several Policy Measures to Further Boost Consumption in Henan Province." The Notice proposes stepping up efforts to promote automobile consumption, carrying out new energy vehicle rural promotion activities, and implementing policies such as vehicle purchase tax and vehicle and vessel tax reductions and exemptions, as well as subsidies for scrapping and updating and trade-in upgrades of automobiles in accordance with relevant national regulations. Localities are encouraged to issue consumption vouchers for the automotive aftermarket covering maintenance and modification, tires, upkeep, power batteries, and automotive supplies. In addition, the Notice proposes strengthening the development of Zhengzhou as a pilot city for automotive circulation and consumption reform, increasing efforts to cultivate automotive culture, actively developing new business forms such as car camping, self-driving living, motorsports events, and themed exhibitions, promoting deep integration of automobile consumption with culture and tourism, sports, and leisure, and creating a full-scenario automotive consumption ecosystem.
